Criss is taped stangin in front of brick wall. Car is taped crashing through wall. Digital compositing combines shot to appear as one. Car changes length as it goes through wall. Can be viewed on youtube.

  1. But you still didn’t really explain how it was done. And why would different clips put together have any effect on the size of the car? I don’t know, man. I can’t figure this one out.

  2. I suspect: Shot was taped from inside car coming toward Criss. It’s cut before it hits him to side shot. If you view this frame by frame, you’ll see it’s a dummy. I think it was obvious on the other side of the wall, that it is a dummy, so they shot the car again going through the wall. Putting these two shots together didn’t exactly match. Thats why, if you compare the distance from the back of the front tire to the rear bumper, the measurement is longer as you see the car half way through the wall as it is before the car reaches the wall. It’s two shots combined. Also on youtube, check out the bike jump, cut in half, building levitation and more, done with edits and Digital Compositing.

  3. this is not an effective reasoning for that because as you will notice that the camera uses a wide angle and the image has to be bent. thats why one will see a variation in the distance positioning.

  4. Analyst is absolutely right! The wide angle lens is used, so this measurement is not correct.
